This coming year, National Family Week will take place
National Family Week has been celebrated since 1985 when it was proclaimed an official
week by the Government of Canada.
The theme for this year’s National Family Week,
Families Connecting through Stories / Nouer des liens au moyen d'histoires en famille,
celebrates the joys of reading and storytelling. Through these everyday activities, family members of all ages can take part in rediscovering the spirit of family.
Every year, letters of support from the Governor General and Prime Minister are provided as well as downloadable resource material from our NFW partners. Also available are prepared announcements to insert in your newsletters. Please check back often as the 2010 material becomes available.
